An evaluation of Eating Pattern and Nutritional Status of Police Personnel in the Tamale Metropolis in Ghana

Police work is mentally demanding and stressful, which takes a heavy toll on the health of police personnel. This study was conducted to assess eating pattern, physical activity nutritional status personnel in Tamale Metropolis. A cross-sectional research design adopted for study. The population this involved all 1590 with two years working experience within Metropolis Northern Region Ghana. Simple random sampling technique used select three hundred eighty-four (384) respondents main instrument data collection questionnaire. Data were analyzed using Statistical Package Social Sciences (SPSS) version 21.0. Chi-square Fisher’s exact tests test associations. Logistic modeling strength P<0.05 denote significance. revealed that eat meals, skip breakfast or between consume alcohol, ate foods belonging meat, soft drinks, fish, grain eggs groups their diet more moderately diverse. also concluded had normal BMI while overweight obese respectively.
